Though a resident of Southern California and someone who worked at many Laker Games, I have always hated basketball I worked for an Medical Event service for 10 years and only did BB games for the money! momma Posted June 5, 2004 Posted June 5, 2004 My father would strike me down because i was brought up to love the Lakers but within the last 5 years they have dwindled down to a team of overpaid crybabies. I think Phil Jackson is one of the most amazing coaches but the team is a bunch of retards. I do still have to pretend i like them when i talk to my dad cause it would break his heart that i have turned on him. 21 years old and still afraid to tell him that, pretty sad huh. Besides most of the I hate the Lakers posts here are sour grapes since they were rooting for losing teams. Weather it be with magic or the ₪₪₪₪t up crew they have now i hate the lakers, Maybe its cuz thier from cali lol cali is cool and all but im from Texas and theres nothin stronger than Texas pride and if you havent lived here then you dont what your missing. BearBear Posted June 5, 2004 Posted June 5, 2004 Some of my best friends live in Texas or were from Texas in the course of our journeys, growing up in a military family and living all over, and 2 of the finest women I have ever met were from Texas, and I still hate basketball doesn't matter which team they all bite IMHO. I would visit Texas again for one of my best friends wedding but I am unable to travel anymore. And on a side note the only NFL cheerleaders that I compare to the Raider cheerleaders are the Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders.
