Something has always looked cheap about Acryllic cases to me. I applaud the effort, especially with the quake symbol cut in, but I like my cases big and tower-shaped :D

well you can think these are cheap but then pay attention to the thickness of the acrylic...

Oh they can be as thick as they want to be, I was just saying that acryllic cases always look kinda cheap to me. Kinda like when they make console game controllers that are see through or other electronic devices that are see through, just doesn't appeal to me.

I have been looking into water cooling today and spent some time on DangerDen's website. They clearly make superior products and I think the only thing preventing me from getting some water cooling stuff is lack of funds and the fact that I'm a chicken :(

Excellent examples of case art.

Everyone has their own definition of what's appealing to them.

Just looking at the cuts and assembly, you can see the quality that you'd never get from one of those acrylic cases that are currently available from online vendors. There's a lot to be said for the use of stainless steel hardware to hold the pieces together. Notice that the screws have actual nuts instead of simply screwing into the acrylic. This keeps the connections in compression instead of tension making for a solid structure. Look closely at pic q4_uv-4.jpg to see exactly what I'm talking about.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the neon/UV colors but you can get acrylic in just about any color of the rainbow these days including an opaque which would give you the same non-see-through aspect as a metal case.

Based solely on the quality of the build, I'm inclined to place an order for a Clear or very dark color case.

Providing options for a build without water-cooling would be another option and open the case up to even more potential buyers.

Have to agree with you on alm ost everything Ex.

To me, a nice thick slab or acryllic or plexi is gorgeous.

Every time I read a review of the latest $89.99 clear case there is always talk of slight cracks near mounting holes (and you can tell by looking at it it won't last too long).

Loved the clear one personally.

That water cooling stuff scares me though, just never been brave enough.

Use good DI water with a little bit for the algae built up and you can poor it on a running PC! :)
