Found BH-5 HyperX!

Recommended Posts

I have KHX3000, and it honestly hates higher latencies, I tried testing CPC on at 220 fsb at 11-3-3-3-2.5 and it didnt like that. So I thought ok, lets try tighter timings, tried 11-2-2-2-2-9-12 and it LOVED it, ran perfectly, 3dmark ran with no problem whatsoever. Prime95 ran for 2 hours then I got bored and turned it off.

Alright, I need some help with this overclock.

Running the 4/29 BIOS.

I have a stable overclock running at 11-2-2-2-2(And 6-2-2-2-2) 250x9.5 with CPC Disabled. If I put CPC Enabled, I can boot into windows, bench everything fine, but Prime95 fails within less than a minute. What else can I change to hopefully make it stable, but hopefully not sacrifice the bandwidth I am getting with CPC Enabled?

Did you mean KHX3200 or KHX3500? KHX3500 is not BH-5, its CH-5 and it never was BH-5. KHX3000 could be BH-5 but it has to be a very particular date.

I recently scored another 512MB stick of KHX3200 BH-5 for $90.00!!! Dual Channel with 1GB has not affected my overclock one bit.

sigh... erik they made the 3000, 3200 and 3500 /w bh5. i've owned all three. the very early 3500 was bh5, then it switched to ch5.

alexia, if you have a bios savior or extra bios chip shoot me your email addy and i'll send you the 5/5-31T6 to check out. it's doing wonders for me :)

Bought from a forum? I am looking hard for a 512mb stick of KHX3200 BH-5 at a decent price.

Alexia,

It's VERY hard to get 2X512 stable over 250fsb and cpc enabled without modding the entire board. Can you try one stick and see if it's stable? I'm not saying you should use only one, but it would be interesting to see what a single dualbank stick does and if the board hates it as much as 4 banks, dual 512.
