Great_Gig Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 I am trying to encourage others to start folding on another Forum, but some are reluctant as they are fearful of viruses. I have given assurances, but could do with an experienced Folder to help with a good and persuasive answer that I can post, to help allay their fears. Can anyone help? Hienrich Jager Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 This topic is relevant to my interests. I have been trying to convince my college professor to fold on his 298-processor Xenon computer when it is not in use (80% of the time) and he is reluctant because he fears virii and it having to connect to outside-campus server/computers. Anyone know of any good links? Jager

Nemo Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 You could also point out the number of computers running [email protected] worldwide without any issues.
romeo55 Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 I just underline the "stanford" portion of the folding URL and that usually stomps out any security/use fears. Though, most people I ask turn it down due to power/heat concerns...
