NCC10281982B Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 I accidentally ordered two 9800GTXs. Separate orders, different payment methods. I tried to cancel one order due to an address f|up but it processed anyway for some reason. So now I have two 9800GTXs one installed, one still in the shipping box. So I go to newegg to try and return one card. Unfortunately, our records indicate that the manufacturer's parts warranty for this product has expired. cirro Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 i jsut talked and argue'd for about a half hour with someone at newegg. then i called amd and they gave me a RMA in like 5 mins. the only place i haven't had problems with is tigerdirect (but thats because i am in driving distance, no shipping crap) if you cant return it and its still in the box add $40 to what you paid and put it on ebay lol
SMeeD Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 Thats really weird. Why did they turn you down when you called them? I dont even think the 9800GTXs have been out long enough to be out of warranty. When I RMAed back to newegg the thing was taken out of the box and all I had to do was send it back.

Waco Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 Just call them and talk to them. You may be charged a restocking fee but at the very least you should be able to return the card.
