bishop245 Posted May 17, 2003 Posted May 17, 2003 ok my MSI K7N2G-L lets me change the lower multi's so i wanted to change the multi from 15 to 13 and now the comp wont boot i have tried reseting the bios via the jumper and by taking out the cmos batter rest of specs athlon 2400+ 2x 512 ddr333 pc2700 gf4 ti4200 audigy gamer wester digital hdds 1 40 gig and 1 175 gig 48x tdk burner Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
Taskman Posted May 29, 2003 Posted May 29, 2003 Most likley your not resetting the bios correctly. There is more to it then simply removing the jumper. Normaly you have to move the jumper one pin to the left or the right. I suggest you read your MB manual again. Removing the battery wont help either. Even without it, the bios can keep its memory for days depending on the MB and forever if you forgot to unplug the powersupply from the MB.
