Need Some Input

Hi all I need to keep my system ticking over and I am just wondering what kind of an oc i could possibly get from my current set up

Specs:

AMD 4200+ @stock

Asus M2N SLI Deluxe

1gb of crosier ram

1 88GTS 320mb (a friend kindly gave to me)

Thermaltake Purepower 680w

well it all depends on the CPU stepping more than anything....the earlier the stepping the better your chances for a decent clock...

 

the line of LC9** steppings and some of the LCQ** steppings are crap to say the most...

 

most of them wouldnt even clock 200mhz more than stock and some are real furnaces with temps...I have had several LCQ** 4200s and none of them were worth a crap...one of them I had ran at 65c idle with the stock heatsink and 85c load...I ran it loaded for a few days trying to kill it but it wouldnt die so I got rid of it...

 

if you have an earlier stepping 2.8ghz should be a breeze...but with the latter you're stuck at 2.2ghz...I am afraid
