Ati Drivers

What happen to ATI drivers download site for Intel processors? Once upon a time www.ati.com lead to ATI main page now you get http://www.amd.com/us-en/. It seems ATI is AMD based or any other search I have entered leads to Driver Detective freeware. However, once the software is installed any attempt to download the outdated driver leads to Driver Detective site to purchase. Anyone know what is going on? Any search I attempted lead me to one of the following www.Update-Drivers.com/ATI, Driver-Pro.com, www.ComputerDriverFinder.com, DownloadPCDriversUpdates.com, QuickPCSolutions.org, www.DriversDoctor.com, www.OfficialDrivers.com, www.Update-Drivers.com/NVIDIA, DownloadDrivers.net.

Uhmm, AMD bought ATI last year(or year before, I don't remember). Would kinda make sense that they kinda run hand-in-hand now.

I was unaware AMD purchased ATI. I thought it was just another high jacking attempt by Driver Detective. Thanks for the input and thanks MitEclipse2G.

the funny thing is you can type:

www.ati.com/drivers

into your browser and it takes you to the page... whodathunkit?!

upok resolved my misunderstanding and I acknowledge that in my response. When www.ati.com/drivers

is entered, then it is converted to http://www.amd.com/us-en/. Now do you understand my confusion? Premature joculation

No, it takes you to:

http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html

Which is the ATi Drivers & Software page.
