Fireonice Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 before i throw this thing threw my window what do you think of this :angry2: :angry2: before i went to work i went back into bios bumped the cpu vcore to 1.3 and fsb to 380. Ram was still stock and underclocked. As soon as i exit and save the mobo gets stuck in a restart loop... Iv tested ram/video card and reset bios like 213432 times still no go I dont think i fryed the cpu either because i didnt put more than 1.3 volts! At least i hope the cpu is ok sense it does not do the infinite boot with the cpu out. I guess it could be shorting out but iv triple checked and im about to test it on the box. It was on a glazed wood thing, iv never had a problem with motherboards shorting out on the surface before. It also did this to me when i had everything at stock but i didnt think anything of it because it booted up after a couple restarts... well the p4 works.... so either i fried the chip or it was a dud to begin with..... gigabyte x38-ds4 e8400 ddr2 ram i mean it worked earlier... It would help if you put what boards they are, then we can click over to newegg for you and read the specs on each board and see what it says for you. Then we will know if it will work for you... Lone Wo1f Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 I think it may well be a simple short. Check you have the mobo placed securely on the brass risers and that no other components are touching anything that would spark a short.
