Outlook 2003 Contacts Question...

OK...I'll try and describe this as well as I can.....

I use Outlook 2003... (if someone posts something to the effect of......nah nah nah... use "this" software... I'll ban your arse! :))

when I create a new email...and click on the "To" button

I get an error that says "the address list could not be displayed. The contacts folder associated with this address list could not be opened. yada yada yada"

I click OK to get rid of that message and the address window is there....

I then click on the drop down menu at the top that says: "Show names from the:"

and Contacts is listed twice.... one of them is empty and if I click on it, I get the error above....

the second one lists all of my contacts just fine....

any ideas on how to get rid of the first "ghost" contacts list?

Thanks

Exeter

outlook and it's mac counter part entourage are very good imo, and yea, nubs use thunderbird

If you have another computer laying around, can you try exporting your contacts to a file and then on the other computer, import it to see if the ghosting effect replicates. I'm trying to think what it could be.

Oh that is just what Steve needs (a bigger head). lol

btw, I prefer outlook as well. MS Exchange + Outlook = one of the best things ever. :D

:withstupid: Say what you will about MS, but Outlook rocks. Hell, I'm pretty satisfied with the Office Suite in general. Well, except for PowerPoint, because it's TOO noob-friendly and often results in crappy presentations when not done by professionals
