Well before i would post constantly on my sisters P4, 1 gig of ram and Xp computer, and then i disconnected her computer and hooked up mine and now when i visit the OCC if i click on a topic, the page freezes up like i have to wait for the page to be completed and i cant eve scroll down or click on links until it finishes so its hard for me to post like i did back when i used the other computer, and this never happened on my sisters slow and outdated computer, I have vista if that helps, the weird thing is that it only happens on this website and not on other sites or other forums.

Anyone have this problem? or know how to fix it?

I've had the problem of being slow when we get a considerably larger number of visitors than we would usually get (to be expected), but I don't think I've had the kind of problem you described.

maybe download and run Adobe Flash Uninstaller and reinstall Flash... that's about the only thing (i.e. flash-based ads) on the page that could cause a pause for every page (you aren't going to have inserted pictures and loads of posts on every page)

does it do this in all browsers or just one?

What you describe (can't click on links, can't scroll) sounds like a client-side issue. If the OCC server were simply taking its sweet time generating and/or sending you the page, your computer would still be responsive to those things.

Flash is a good suggestion -- sometimes it'll just decide it wants to freeze up your browser, without apologies.

I've been taking good care of the new OCC server, so I'm sure it's not at fault. ;-)

wow i didnt think about the browser, just check IE7 and it loads the pages faster with no stuck links...i do hate IE, well good thing Firefox 3 is going to be released in a couple days, so maybe it will be fixed right?
