I'm dying to see some reviews as well. I only have enough cash to get 1 game right now and don't know which one to get first. Should I go with Vice City where I know I'll be getting my money's worth? Or take a chance on Enter The Matrix?

There are 2 types of bankruptcies I think. Chapter 11 and Chapter 13. Not sure which one is which, but one is total collapse and they throw in the towel and fold the business forever. The other basically tells everybody that you have no money and you can't pay any of your bills, so your debt is wiped clean and you can start from scratch. But then your credit is horrible for like a decade until you can prove yourself trustworthy again.

So Atari probably did the latter, where they got to start from scratch, but usually when a company does that, their stocks fall like rocks and it's hard to do business and find investors cause they all know you went bankrupt once. But as you can see, Atari has been doing a lot of business lately, so they are probably doing pretty well since they have so many smaller companies working under them. Infogrames for example is one of them, but this past week I think they are just going to use the name Atari on everything now and not use smaller company names for each little branch.

But as the Enter the Matrix, I went to Fry's yesterday and was trying to decide which one to get for PC. Vice City or Enter the Matrix. Luckily they had an XBox on display setup with Enter the Matrix. I didn't play it but I watch some guy play it for a while. The cutscenes and the storyline look cool, but as for gameplay, it seemed entirely too repeatitive. Especially hand-to-hand combat. It's handled well, but all I saw him do was run around, button-mash some punch and kick combos, then keep going. Go up some stairs, run down a hallway, and do it all over again.

Needless to say, I got Vice City. :D So far it rocks! But I've had some graphic corruption and some other crap. I even download the patch for it from Rockstar's website, but didn't fix it. The problem is that the engine renders stuff at low detail when it's at long distance, but as I get closer, it usually doesn't render the higher detailed textures. SO I drive around on flat grey rectangles that are supposed to be roads. I make a turn and crash into an invisible wall, then a minute later it renders the wall that I ran into...So sometimes I'm riding a bike around and crash and fly 50 feet into the air, simply because the physics engine detects the crash, but the graphics engine didn't render the bench on the sidewalk...

I got the game the day it came out. It is a tight game, but you can definetely tell it is being held back on its power because it is on playstation 2. If it was an XBox exclusive game, it would be far better. There is only one aspect of the game that slows it down. After getting shot, your health slowly recharges... so it makes the game so much easier because after fighting an agent, you just hide in a corner and let your health recharge... I wish they would have left that out.
