I Need Some Parental Controls!

I am running Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit. Yes, I know, Vista has parental controls built in. They are great, however, they lack the feature that I want most. I have used Webroot Child Safe, now called Webroot Parental Controls, very successfully in the past, but it is not working correctly in the 64-bit environment. In fact, it appears that MS pretty much copied Webroot's parental control system. The one feature that I need is the capability to limit a users amount of time spent on the computer per day. I want to be able to set an hour or two for my son and then have it log him off. Webroot's software is the only kind I have seen with this capability. Does anyone know of an app, or a another option, that will allow me to do this?

No offense intend by this by any means, but wouldn't it be easier to just completely lock down the computer until you're home, then monitor the time by yourself? So if he's in the middle of something semi-important he could have extra time to finish instead of being logged off instantly?

This is, of course, disregarding age. That would certainly have an effect on just how "hardcore" you need to be.

He is only six. He doesn't get on by himself. The problem is that he fights us when he has to get off with a timer or just when we say so. When it logged him off automatically he simply accepted that his time was up.

Hmm...I'll do a bit of digging and see if I can find anything that might help you out.

Are you stuck with Vista x64, or could you give him an older computer to play around with?

This is the only one I've got. I am definitely not letting him use my Apple Powerbook!

I guess I sort of meant do you have some old crappy Pentium 3 lying around? I mean it's an ideal kids comp...

Though not necessarily any easier to find software for. :)
