oranznation Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 I may have been a little confusing, I have a power supply, my computer is already running. I only listed those components because I thought that was all that was necessary.
Syngensmyth Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 (edited) The OC guide reference is great. Here is a down and dirty little guide for quick OC of a 965 Gigabyte board. I know different board but a lot of the settings and advice is quite common and helps make sense of the Bios Settings. Your bios may be different in some aspects. It's tough when you are starting out to make sense of it all and looking at it from different angles helps. http://www.atomicmpc.com.au/forums.asp?s=2...amp;t=1&p=0 Edited June 11, 2008 by Syngensmyth
Stryker125 Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 Going out and buying a better CPU fan is the first thing you should do =P And have some backup money incase you explode something in your case =)
Hyper Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 As you over clock your system draws more power (thats the reason for making sure you have a ps that will support oc) also, some cheaper PS will have signal noise on the voltage lines that could interfear with a decent oc... and replacing the stock fan is very important before you even start (stock one is the minimum requirment for stock speeds).. Heat kill's, even the case your system is in makes a difference (cooling the rest of the components)..
