ultimate11 Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 i bought a Q9300 / Asus Rampage Formula / 4 gigs of corsair DDR2-6400 800 memory (5-5-5-18) temps are fine / ram have been tested 100% i had my extreme tweaker to auto (Everything) and i would get bsod when my system was completly idle(like when i leave my pc on the whole night and went to bed and by the time i got up the bsod was there) i uninstalled the asus ai stuff and removed them from start up went to the bios and put the the tweaker to manual but still running everything at stock(7.5x333) disabled LLC because it doesnt show that option in auto , upped the nb voltage to 1.4 but i also read people telling to up the VCORE to 1.3-1.35, however i cannot find that option (does it goes by anyother alt name as i cant seem to find it). any other advice besides all of this would be thankful Once again Thanks. ultimate11 Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 What app. did you use to check your RAM? What is the BSOD error report detail? bsod error says something like new hardware installed no .dll or .sys error nor irq i used memtest , burned the iso and boot it up with system restart however system is fine as i use it 8-10 hrs a day it only happens when its idle (when i go to sleep w/ few downloads on / have tried to keep the downloads off as well but same problem)
wevsspot Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 Take a look at the Application and System records using Windows Event Viewer. Do you see anything strange going on in the reports that coincides with the BSOD?

crizcom Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 its fine today what happened , when i wake up that my system was stucked in the bios screen sayin oc failed(not even ocing) I have been strugling with a similar kind of problem for a rough 3 years now. I have narrowed the solution to first uninstalling firefox, but that only seems to postpone the crashing on each install of windows. Now I seem to have found a new solution and that is preventing web browsers installing any adobe products from internet.. i.e. flash player that has been installed by my gilrfriends mother keeps installing for what ever content she finds to view. Im doing major tweaking with RAM at the moment (ASUS M2NSLI deluxe board) and had 4 crashes before uninstalling flash player. After that ive reached cas 4 with ddr2 and going to experiment more with tRD values. I couldnt even download 3dmark03 (~20mins) without a crash.. and now it's working like a charm. I suggest u try getting rid of flash or at least switch to macromedia version. it certainly helps me here
crizcom Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 and now it's working like a charm. Ok I seem to have to take everythin that i said back. The problem persists and is worse today than i have seen before. comp crashes in 5 minutes. stress test or no. i just cant figuer out what could be the problem if the whole computer has been changed in the process and nothing else but the mouse is different. I hope u find the solution, i centainly am at a loss here
