Authrom Posted June 6, 2008 Definitely skip the Thermaltake; the performance and quality aren't good at all. Petra's Tech is probably the best place to get your stuff. I just don't understand why you'd want colored tubing and dye'd water; I've moved away from using dies since they tend to separate out and stain the crap out of the tubing/blocks. Pump: Laing D5 Vario $79.95 CPU Block: D-Tek Fuzion $64.99 Radiator: Black Ice Pro II $33.99 Fill-port: DangerDen Brass Fillport $11.95 T-fitting: 1/2" OD T $1.99 Tubing: Feser 1/2" ID UV Acid Green tubing $2.75/ft x 10ft = $27.50 Biocide: Petra's Tech PT Nuke $2.50 Total price: $222.87 add a few fans an possibly a radbox (for hanging the rad from the back of the case when only 1 fan hole exists) and you're all set to go I dont mean to hi jack, but how can you decide what is a quality pump and CPU block, since those two are out of stock I was just wondering what seperates a great one from a ok one? Also if someone would explain to me WHY it is good and not just that it is good I would apperciate it greatly, I would much rather know why I am buying something instead of buying it just because someone said it was good =)

The custom top increases both the pressure head and flowrate and bring's it's performance about on par with the D5 Regarding the blocks; the internal desing is critical in terms of heat transfer effectiveness as well as pressure drop across it (the lower the pressure drop the better). the D-Tek Fuzion is the best on the market, but other top performers are the DangerDen TDX, EK Supreme, and Swiftech Apogee GT. rud3bwoy Posted June 6, 2008 Now before i start the pics are not the best, took it with my iphone so bare with me until i get my digi cam back.. http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f351/rud...yx/IMG_0037.jpg http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f351/rud...yx/IMG_0038.jpg http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f351/rud...yx/IMG_0039.jpg http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f351/rud...yx/IMG_0040.jpg Ok over all the case is great,i hated the 900 series but the dam 1200 series is amazing, the top fan is massive,by the looks of this case it is going to do some serious cooling, the back panel is great to has wire management finally =),3 cages in front with 120 mm fans and all the intakes got filters, aso comes with a water cooling platform, also it comes with black sata cable built into the case.this baby is freaky heavy 35 pounds in box lol.. Anyway over all 10/10 for me,now just have to order the water kooling kit and i am ready to go,i will have better pics/a video once i am done with the new set up. airman Posted June 6, 2008 (edited) spend some time on dangerden and petra - pick out the parts you want and go with it. i can't assume anything about what processor you're running, but the dangerden tdx and the dtek fuzion are excellent blocks. the setup radodrill posted is piece for piece what i am running on my q6600. keeps the temps around 33c load and 25c idle @ 3.5ghz.
