Saca_Saca Posted May 10, 2003 Posted May 10, 2003 Here is a pic of my first H2O set up.Still waiting for the new rev. DD Radeon 9700 Block to arrive so I can finish the second loop (DD Radeon Block, DD Z-Chip, BIX Rad, Via Aqua Pump).....it's a snug fit! TypicalSloan Posted May 10, 2003 Posted May 10, 2003 so what r u getting for temps?
Saca_Saca Posted May 10, 2003 Posted May 10, 2003 (edited) Well, MBM 5 shows 35c idle\39 load.My Nexus Multi shows 27c idle\ 30 load. This is with the 135cfm Delta on low speed These temps are at stock speed...I believe the Nexus temps are closer.I have the probe touching the core, I even cut back the protective covering to get it as close as possible. The CPU is a 2500+ Barton on a Abit NF7-S rev.2 MOBO. Edited May 10, 2003 by Saca_Saca

I would think the water would be cooler... but it DOES look really cool... I'm still thinking of getting water cuz its quiet!! Saca_Saca Posted May 11, 2003 Posted May 11, 2003 (edited) I just switched over from a P4 system I ran on air cooling with the TT Spark 7 and some Tornado fans...talk about loud! Even with the fans hooked up to a Nexus Fan Controller running at 7v, it was still to loud for me, but it was some good cooling. The system with water cooling is near silent, except for the crystal orb on the Radeon which will soon be gone. I also love the fact that the load temps only go up a few degrees above idle without having to crank up noisy fans. Some OC results. [email protected] are very close to what they were at stock speeds. Edited May 11, 2003 by Saca_Saca
Mercury Posted May 11, 2003 Posted May 11, 2003 temp to temp wise, basic water cooling systems like the one above (with low power fans) arnt much lower than air the strength in water cooling is found once you start adding lots of heat to the core... the water cooling will hold its temps more, while air cooling will be drastically affected plus is quieter (not for me tho! i have 2 of these for my blowholes... they are also what i put my dual radiators on along with being the most powerful case fan on the market... this thing can literaly hold up a volleyball in the air, both of those plus 8 other high powered fans)
