I wonder if the extra memory and memory speed on my card will help? :)

FahMon is showing 1100 PPD even at the 2d clock settings. :P

The 2600XT in my HTPC is pulling 800 PPD as well, though I don't think it has different profiles for 2d/3d (at least not according to the AMDGPUClock tool).

I've tried forcing my 2D clocks higher but whenever I change them with the tool my computer crashes. :P

EDIT: Looks like the current workunit data and the log file are getting put into Users/[username]/AppData/Roaming/[email protected]/ instead of the install path. Not really a problem, but you have to point FahMon there.

So the 2900XT is capable of more folding power than the HD3870? :O

It looks like it's pretty close.

Mine with the GDDR4 and more memory should be fun once I figure out a way to get my clocks up to where they should be. The core is at ~66% speed and the memory is at ~50%.

ATI tool 0.27? Force them to 3D clocks via overclocking? I dunno lol... Have you thought of using that BIOS editor thing road posted here a couple of weeks/a months back?

.27b doesn't work in Vista for me. RivaTuner crashed on startup. ATI Tray Tools doesn't allow a large enough range of adjustment. :P

I'm not going to worry about it at the moment - running at 2d clocks means the fan never spins up past idle. :)

I believe the 2900xt will also out bench the 3870, according to the ORB anyway....

ROFL! Playing a game (Warcraft 3, WoW, whatever) kicks the card into 3d clocks and even while playing it's pulling 1300 PPD. :D
