grahamdunstan Posted February 17, 2008 Posted February 17, 2008 Hi there ih have 4GB quad kit Dominator - 8500C5DF G @1066 5-5-5-15 . my cpu Q6600 OC to 3.48 QDR 1500 MOBO asus striker extreme Bios 1305 what i would like to know is the best settings for ths ram all i seem to be able to get is 5-5-5-15 2T trc 18 @800 2.225v if i put the voltage to 2.2 the computer gets the BOSD just B4 it goes onto the desktop and thats the mem @700mhz what voltage can these dim's take would i be safe to put up the voltage more to try for faster speeds or could that fry them. i would like to even get 1000mhz with 4-4-4-12 all help very much welcome . PS what about the voltage on these should i keep them at the rated vplts or when overclocking them is it safe to put it up abit say 2.3? grahamdunstan Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 Hi guys thanks for your help i have now got my ram running at 1.2Ghz 1205mhz 2.2v @5-5-5-15- TRC-22 i found if i went to 23 it would not boot after 1000mhz bringing it down to 22 has made loads of diffrence. However i seem to have hit a wall now at 1205Mhz if i was to set the RFC-RRD-WR-WTR-RTP would i be able to get it to run even faster again ? Iam so glad that it was not going to be an RMA.
