Gr4vitas Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 (edited) Alright so I want to buy COD 4 but I don't want to go out to the store, and I want to play it right now lol. So basically I was thinking I could order it from here but I wasn't sure if this site was trustworthy or not. I mean it seams to be quite professional and such but I've never bought games online for download. Anyway if anyone has ever bought games via download any advice would be good. Also I was wondering after I buy it from this website will I be able to download the setup any time I want in case I need to like reformat and stuff. Also are they going to give me a CD key as if I were buying it at the store just no CD's? Gr4vitas Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Lol, I just bought it from that Direct 2 drive website. I'm doing the download at the moment. I hope all goes well. I feel guilty spending the money on it when I shouldn't have lol. Oh well I have to enjoy my money some right? I'm supposed to be saving for my new rig, lol but hey its only 50 bucks. suchuwato Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 $69.95 on steam Edit: Too late, but late post illustrates different point; therefore original text remains unaltered, and steam remains more expensive.
Gr4vitas Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 Yea I'm downloading it right now, and its going to take a really long time lol. I'm looking at an estimated 10 hours to download according to the firefox downloader thing. I think I'm going to try to get a refund and download from somewhere else because this is taking for ever. And I cant really leave my rig on all night because of all the lights and noise making it hard to sleep. Anyway I opened a ticket with the website (no phone support figures) anyway we'll see what they say. Also I get about 3.4mb download and 1.8mb upload, so I've got good speeds on my end. Kamikaze_Badger Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 Why not use Steam? It's $50 on there and you get it tied to your account.

Gr4vitas Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 Next time give PC Gamer a try. Yea I'm trying to get a refund from these Direct2drive guys but I have to open a ticket and wait for a response, really stupid way to handle customer support, wish I could just call them. Anyway I hope I can get a refund from these guys and just download it from steam, I'm downloading a couple things off steam at the moment like CS:S (havent updated everything since I formatted last) and anyway I'm getting like 400kbs+ download from Steam and like 200 from direct2drive. I think there service just sucks. Anyway I REALLY hope I can get a refund from these direct2drive dudes there download speeds are terrible it'd take like 3 hours from Steam.
