Verran Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 AVG Free. I haven't really done any heads-up comparisons, so I can't say who or what it's better than, but I like it and use it. The price is right and I've never had problems with its performance.
Phil Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 AVG Free on all my units. If I was going paid, I agree with Nerm, Panda.
Bleeble Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 AVG Free all the way. Norton, Panda, McAfee, etc. are all too bloated. They really like to hog resources and slow down the entire system.
soccertl Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 I have AVG on mine and Norton's on my wifes. I like AVG much better since it is smaller and free. I cannot really say if it is technically better or equal to Norton's since I have never had a virus/malware on either computer. Bleeble Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 Just a thought: There is no one best antivirus program. Each product will miss things that others catch.
