Corsair Xms Ll 3200

Hello all i just bought corsair xms series ram. Matched pair for my a7n8x delux (1 gig worth)

my problem is that when it boots it comes up at 200 mhz. I tired setting it to agressive and it droped to 133 any ideas on how to fix this..do i have to set the MB to Dual DDR somehow or is it automatic

well in my bios i can choose:

 

let it run at 133-266-386.

the 386 is because my mobo supports till pc2700. so that runs a little slower then pc400. so i choose the 386. when i OC it auto changes to 413+ or even more

but i dunno if you're able to choose this

I still cant figure it out isnt it supose to be runing at 400 mhz?

yes. but your mobo supports till pc333, the pc400 , isn't going to run at 400 , but at 350 or somting. so you need to OC the system, to let the memory work at 400mhz or higher that was my experience

acording to the box and asus the a7n8x DOES support pc3200 ram though thats what i dont get..also i can only OC it to 287

well yes , with your mobo, the ram will auto. run at 400Mhz in my case, my mobo supports till pc333 , so it won't. you can buy pc400 , and higher (also lower )

ok let me retry saying this I have Corsair xms pc3200 (2x512mb sticks) but it is only runing at 200mhz

So when your system is posting it says its runnin @ 200MHz? cause I think it supposed to be half of what it is really running at, download WCPUID and check it with that.

But isn't it DDR which makes it 287*2??? Which means your memory is running at 574??? But that can't be right...Unless you have one hell of an oc!

so wich is it supose to be is it supose to say 200 at boot up or 400?

download a program called WCPUID which can be found right here. It will tell you exactly what you want to know.
