mac173 Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 I am shopping for a cheap laptop that I can use at my second job sitting a security desk at night. I go thru 3 to 4 books a week reading to fill the time, and would love to install my copy of Codewarrior and Nvu on a loptop and "play' with those while at the desk. My real problem is cost. I work two jobs for need, not fun. I am very scarce on funds. Mostly I want to know if there are any specific brands or models I should avoid when looking at used or refurbished machines. SMeeD Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 The Asus eee PC is probably the cheapest laptop you can find if you buy brand new. The eee seems to get pretty good reviews and I think another version with a larger screen is on its way.
