Neo Posted December 18, 2007 Posted December 18, 2007 Finally it looks like New Line and Peter Jackson were able to resolve their differences and make the official announcement for the Hobbit movies. This is such great news for fans of the books and the LOTR Trilogy, I know I am excited. Here is the official announcement

HoboBen Posted December 18, 2007 Posted December 18, 2007 This is very exciting.. Is there a book I am missing as far as "a sequel"??
Andrewr05 Posted December 18, 2007 Posted December 18, 2007 Yea, I've been reading some rumors about this lately, sounds awesome!! Sucks for the people who bought box sets.
ClayMeow Posted December 18, 2007 Posted December 18, 2007 Sucks for the people who bought box sets. Not really. I bought all the extended versions as they came out, and then, included in the last extended version was a code to get a box to hold all three (the same box as in the boxed set) for like $5. It was really nice of them to do, IMO. As for The Hobbit, I've been hoping they'd get going on it. But sequel?!!? Uh, maybe someone should tell New Line Cinema that the "sequel" to The Hobbit is LOTR, which they already made
HoboBen Posted December 18, 2007 Posted December 18, 2007 That's what I thought.. Unless they are going to make it a two part movie.. Maybe 2 four movies.. Would be able to get all the details.

ClayMeow Posted December 18, 2007 Posted December 18, 2007 There and back again FTW. "There and back again" IS "The Hobbit". That's simply what Bilbo called it.
philbrown23 Posted December 18, 2007 Posted December 18, 2007 this is going to be a long movie. but I think it will be better than the lotr movies. I always thought the hobbit was the batter of all of the books. man this will be sweet!
