Kamikaze_Badger Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 KB, grab me an E4400/4500, I'll slap it on my DS4 with my Ultra 120 eXtreme on it, and watch me pwn that X2 5000+ in terms of performance! Board + CPU = costly upgrade . The point of the thread was to point out that he had done the first 4 Ghz OC on that particular processor, which was a feat in itself. hardnrg Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 hey I got the 64x2 2.2ghz version now I bet I'll be able to oc that to close to 3ghz my other one I would be lucky to get it to 2.58 wothout an instability. some X2 3800+ CPUs can be pushed near/past 3GHz on air... like... mine: http://forums.overclockersclub.com/index.p...st&p=733429 4GHz though, it's still impressive, even though it's been smashed before on 90nm...
