road-runner Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 1.35 is at stock speeds. im putting almost 600mhz more than that so that creates more heat AFIK the heat does not increase until you add more volts. I have never seen temps increase by just raising the bus speed...

hardnrg Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 lap your CPU and heatsink, then stop messing about with low speeds and set it at 9x400 and work up from there

Bleeble Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Looking good. I like you're prospective water cooling setup (glances at sig ). What settings are you using in Orthos? I find that I can run Blend for days on end but my computer restarts after a few hours using Large FFTs (priority 8).

Good plan. Although I suggest getting a better pump since you're clearly going all the way with your radiator. Here's some hard data in case you need convincing: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=117215 http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=137484 Make sure you increase the priority for Orthos if you haven't already. It really makes the tests more stressful.
