capthowdy575 Posted October 5, 2007 Posted October 5, 2007 Well i just got a x1950pro 512mb edition and i cant oc it even my 5mhz ati tool 2.6 wont even set the clock to 580 it just keeps going back to 573 every time i hit set clock. i dont know what is wrong did i get a card that cant be over clocked our is it just the program im using is not updated enough to support these cards yet? i leaning towards software issue here thanks for any help. also could anyone recommend another GPU clocking tool thanks alot. road-runner Posted October 5, 2007 Posted October 5, 2007 I used/use atitool 0.27 beta 2 There is also AMD GPU Tool but you cant change voltages. Another thing on the beta after you set the clock you have to go back and set the volts, it doesnt stay set after setting the clock. A known bug that has not been fixed in it. kingdingeling Posted October 5, 2007 Posted October 5, 2007 The X1950Pro cards were/are always a PAIN IN THE @$$ to overclock!!! That's because of little compatibility with the programs, because of the core that is used (RV570 I think), so somehow I never ended up OCing my card () because I couldn't be bothered to run 5 programs at once to OC it It's changed a wee bit now, with the tools road mentioned you should be able to get a little bit of an overclock outta that sucker Share this post Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
