Fireonice Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 Yestorday i was out riding my dirtbike all afternoon. Me and my friend couldnt get a ride back into town so we decided to take the back roads. It was dark by then, about 9ish and i did not have a light. Well to make a long story short i almost hit an about 3 ft long palm tree stump that was in the middle of the road were the dirt turns to concrete going about 60!! I sweved around it at the last second and hit my foot on it. So no more riding at night without a light or speeding infront of my friend with a light Oh ya for thous who are wondering its a honda cr125 2001 all the upgrades

Fireonice Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 Ya i know i really should of been staying back with my friend on his 4 wheeler but i figured there wouldnt be a 3ft long palm tree in the middle of the paved road! It defenatly is a fast ride. I mostly use it as a trail bike and for tearing up the dirt roads I acually took it for some light mudding yestorday sence its been raining like crazy latly and all the mudholes are fillin up . I probably went in some too deep of water 4 wheels spinning is way better than one sinking spinning wheel with a 8 ft water spray behind you lol
Andrewr05 Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 (edited) Riding without lights? umm... .... .... duh? I've done it with my 4wheeler, It wasn't even on purpose though...The OEM headlights crapped out so I bought some $20 universal 12v lights at Walmart (READ: I'm a cheap bastard), needless to say you get what you pay for because they pretty much sucked. They lenses got so hot that they cracked when I drove through water (they still worked at that point), the water wasn't the problem though it was when I decided to go mudding that same week that the problems arose. Mud + drain plugs (small ones at base of light) = no drainage = fried lights... Pretty much the ride home took 5x longer (trails through the middle of the woods) than it normally would have...
