ir_cow Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 does anyone know a really low noise water pump? i keep reading reviews of good water kits but the end factor is , its loud! and i myself have done the loud with 9 fans putting out 26db each. since i got this nice new case i put silencers on my new 11db fans and the loudest part is my video card. so i wanted to know if there are low noise water pumps? The Laing DDC2 with Petra's top is silent. And I really mean silent. You can't hear the water or even the vibrations while it's running. I presume the rest of the DDC series is the same. Overclocker16 Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 My Laing D5 is virtually silent also.
hardnrg Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 I don't understand how people all over the net say the Laing D5 is loud... mine is on the highest setting, and it's incredibly hard to hear... it's about as loud as a sock Maybe if you were a retard and didn't mount it with the neoprene and didn't tighten the nuts/screws it might make a noise... hardnrg Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 admittedly the DDC2/Petra is probably better for most people, so look into that too

airman Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 another vote for the laing d5...get it. the thing is silent and is capable of 300+gph. and there's an adjustable one incase the highest setting is TOO high
Bleeble Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 nah, that's just Bleeble... he farts a lot It's not my fault I'm lactose-intolerant! *cry* Seriously though, the DDC is a great pump. But don't just take my word for it, here's a bunch of testing with comparisons to the D5 and the various tops for the DDC: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=117215 http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=137484
ccokeman Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 I can't hear my DD5 run at all. Its on setting 5 . The four fans in the case are louder than it is.
road-runner Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 I can not hear my D5 or DDC over the fans for the radiator and RAM. I have them sitting on this also.
