-Eagle- Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 They are both around $120. Ive heard bad things about the first generation DX10 cards. What do you guys think ?
Zerox12 Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 Get the 7900GS. It's a much better card, period. The only thing it lacks is the DX10 support, but seeing as the 8600 isn't powerful enough to really utilize it, the point is moot. iKillSteal Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 7900GS and don't think about the 8600GT. The 8600GT is not much better than a 7600GT and a 7900GS is quite a big step up from a 7600GT. Grab the 7900GS and don't look back. Only DX10 cards that are worth it are really the 8800's(GTS/GTX not Ultra) and the 2900XT. Everything else is just kinda meh. kingdingeling Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 Neither, an X1950Pro is a WAYYY better bang for your buck! It simply pwns the 7900GS to hell, sometimes even the 7900GT and 7950GT!
