iKillSteal Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 Check out these cpu's if you're looking for something extremely cheap with monster OC'ing capabilities. The gimped L2 cache does hurt performance(more in apps like winrar than games) a bit but those chips will go up to 3.4 easy and at that speed the hit is basically gone. But if you're dead set on getting an AMD for overclocking, check out the AM2 x2 4000. Brand new one costs about 66 bucks and they can achieve decent OC's. hardnrg Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 don't overclock a family member's PC unless you want to sign yourself up for 24/7 callouts and being the blame of any single problem with that PC for the rest of your/its life... unless your dad wants some kinda watercooled modded show-piece at work, I'd stick to stock speed, just for your own benefit...
