Pr1Me Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 I'm new to this forum and have read quite a few topics on CPU cooling already. Currently I have a Zerotherm CF800 to cool my cpu (E6600 @ 3000 MHz). At this speed the temperature will stay at 60 C (full load for 8+ hours). Though I noticed the temperature can rise quite a bit when the outside/room temp. is higher (about 5/6 degrees). So I'm looking for a new CPU cooler. After reading tons of reviews I thought it will either be the Tuniq Tower 120 or the Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme. The last one is very difficult to get my hands on, in comparison to the Tower 120. Then I came across some reviews of the Titan Amanda. And after reading that I'm very interested in getting the cooler, though I don't quite know how it performs in comparison to the other two I mentioned. My question is: Can anyone tell me if indeed the Titan Amanda is a good choice to cool my CPU? My pc spec: E6600 (currently stuck at 3000 MHz) Asus P5N32-E SLI 2x XFX 8800 Ultra (at stock speed) 2x Team Elite, 1024 MB, DDR2, PC6400, 800 MHz (stock speed) Antec Nine Hunderd case Cooler Master Real Power Pro, 850 Watt
Bleeble Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 Can you even buy the Titan? I didn't think anyone was even selling it. I'd suggest the Ultra-120 Extreme. It's in stock at Petra's Tech Shop for only $55 (same price as the Tuniq everywhere else). :thumbs-up:
Pr1Me Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 Okay, thank you. Can you even buy the Titan? I didn't think anyone was even selling it. Actually I know several shops that sell the titan, but the delivery time is quite long (mostly around 3 weeks).
