kendellrt Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 It's not that we disagree with the quality of the HS, it is that it has issues with the 680i and the backplate.
kendellrt Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 I just got some info from EVGA. They said that if you have the AR or TR versions then there is a problem with the Ultra 120 eXtreme. If you got the A1 or T1 you are golden. Good info to know! I'm sure I may have just found my next heatsink. If you have one of the new A1 or T1 revisions, I would get that one, too. kendellrt Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 Glad to hear it at last Now the question is not which to get, but will the eXtreme need to be lapped?
Bleeble Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 Now the question is not which to get, but will the eXtreme need to be lapped? Based on what I've read about those wonderful machining marks, I would assume so. Then again, I'd probably lap it regardless.
