Draetor24 Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 Quick fix for the C1 error is to spam the reset butten. also the evga is very fussy with ram. i ran my e6600 @ 3.2ghz - 3.4ghz for weeks on end then out of the bule one day it wouldn't boot c1 error could not get it to boot just wasnt happing cleaned the cmos twice use one stick of my ram tryed every slot still the same put every thing back how it was switched off and unpluged for an hour come back and it work just fine ..and never did it ever again! I think this is because of the heating issue on the board. The memory controller mosfets have a major heating issue, and explains why you had to let it sit and "cool down" before you attempted again. If you take off the heatsinks over the memory mosfets near the CPU, you'll notice it has a generic adhesive tape that it is total garbage for what it's supposed to do. It doesn't even touch half of the chips.
