I have been wanted to do this project for a long time now. I few members have heard me talking about this Project. Ever since I saw the WICKED fan grill mod by Bill A.K.A mnpctech_guy Linky . It got me thinking about doing a Spinner Case Project. I and so here we are today starting this fine project by T2. The Genny Pig today will be a 13-Bay ATX Full Tower Server Case. (that I bought for $9.50) List of hardware and goodies going into the Project: 1 Hiper Type-R 580W Modular Power Supply - Chrome AMD64 3000+ CPU MSi K8T Neo-V Socket 754 MoBo ATI X700 Pro 256 AGP (That I bought off GN72) RC Spinner Rim L.E.D Flame scanner red/chrome 2xL.E.D. And what looks good Option#1 w/80mm Machined Billet grills Option#2 without 80mm Machined Billet grills OMG!!! Updates I was messing around with some Pimp rims today (Damit too big) 83mm I can't stand the bar that goes across the case (plus it was in the way) OMG!!! Updates Here is the cuts of the 80mm holes on Top of the case Side panel and the top piece Cuts Here is a idea about the LED meters for the front :blurp: The package I have to touch up some spots on the cuts (But it is coming together Nicely) Here's the latest clean-up cuts on the back. I cutted out the vent of the upper back piece. before after Stay tuned............... Here is a pic of the side panel that i drilled the holes for the Spinner bracket. Bracket mounted with macking tape removed. The Spinner is Mounted More on the way............Stay tuned :excited: Watch out the Madman is at it Again A little taping off and sizing up the Holes :shades: And the work begains :scared: BAM!!!!!! I made all the cuts on the Panel (Reset switch/Power Switch/Switch Panel and Spinner Hole) Installed the Bling to see how it fits (WOW) Front panel with the switches up Close-up view of the BLING! Here is another Pic of the BLING installed on front of the Case. THRASHER2 Posted July 11, 2007 Posted July 11, 2007 Here is the latest updates on the Spinner Mod :blurp: Ok.....I needed to cut the small spinner housing First look I cutted the spinner housing down to fit into the Case body Here is where i was marking the holes to be cut T2 in Action Checking the cuts i just made (Test Fit) BAM!!!! Isn't it pretty :blurp: Close-up of the cleaned up cuts :shades: Off to the back of the case for the 80mm fan test fit I installed some U-Channel Trim Molding on the 80mm fan holes (and did a Grill test fit) BAM!!!! I LOVE IT! :excited: More to come...........Stay tuned The Mod Garage project is finished for now (Thank God that's Done) I have time for the Spinnner Mod Now :grin: Ok.....Back on track First up Cleaning up the Oval hole where the Power Switch goes. (Sorry for the Pic) dang work camera :sad: A little work and BAM!!! (That Crap dries Quick) I was checking out the Spinner side panel (DAMIT! the upper cut was to High to the Edge) Lucky ...I have another Case with that side Panel. Here are the two Panel together I had another sweeet idea (Added a chrome Frame to the top) The layout for the Cut (Alot of corners) :eek: Super Update!!!!! I ordered some new parts for the project. w00ts :excited: SAPPHIRE Radeon X850XT 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card $119.99 ($89.99 after $30.00 Mail-In Rebate) and the AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ Dual Core Processor $147.99 :blurp: The MaD Man is back at work (7hours of some sweeet modding) I did a ruff cut of the upper Square section Cleaned up all the cuts Modding In Action I Drilled all the holes for the Panel Its time for some 600grt wet sanding Finished all the sanding I started to put all the Bling back together I installed the Upper frame and the Spinner (It Looks SWEEEET) I assembled all the pieces to see how they would lined up The panel is sticking out because its temporary installed I almost forgot the Memory I bought some Sweeet Patriot 1GB (2 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

I had to Solder the Wires while the Led's and the Switch was installed. (It was the only Way) :yuck: I changed the LED's on the Rocker Switch Panel (old ones fell apart) what the heck!! I spent some time on the Switch Place sleeving and Wiring Hardness Sleeving. It still doesn't look right to me...........I might be redoing it :shades: TEASER!!!! Stleathing the Upper DVD Burner The Sweeet Red feet were coming off evertime I moved the case. So I had to Bolt them down to the case Next I was setting up the Lights I had to modd the Ballast to use the front Switches Here is the light show Here is a shot of the Upper red fans Lights in the case on with the outer Lights off Next is the wiring of the Spinner I modded the Wireless Remote for the Spinnner I changed out the UV window with a clear window :grin: And here is the BADASS Spinner in Action :laugh: Share this post Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
