battery Posted April 16, 2003 Posted April 16, 2003 is this a t-bred or barton core cpu?
Overclocker16 Posted April 16, 2003 Posted April 16, 2003 That is a Barton. You can tell by the amount of cache. 640k for Barton chips.
Dgephri Posted April 16, 2003 Posted April 16, 2003 (edited) I don't think its a Barton, I think the cache info is wrong, look at the product code "AXDA..." aren't Barton's from the "AQ" series? And you should be sure its got the 333fsb not the 266. In review, I think that OverClocker16 is rigtht, they may not have included the second set of numbers...and the first set of numbers on a Barton would be like the link shows, but the second set should be AQ---something for sure, that separates it from a T-Bred for sure. I would call to be sure. Otherwise, the FSB, the Cache info, the Clock speed, all match my 2500+ that is Barton for sure...and just to be sure-here is an article from Tom's Hardware with pics showing Barton codes and core visual cues. Tom's Hardware article on BartonsNote the longer Die in the center, not square like a T-bred. battery Posted April 16, 2003 Posted April 16, 2003 i'm gonna have to call them then =)
Overclocker16 Posted April 16, 2003 Posted April 16, 2003 All them CPU's have "AXDA." But if you look...the Barton chips have this..."AXDA3000DKV4D" and the regular have "AXDA2400DKV3D" The numbers after the "AXDA" will be different depending on the chip. The "KV4D" is Barton and the "KV3D" is T-Bred.

Mercury Posted April 20, 2003 Posted April 20, 2003 the question iself is incorrect. t-bred cores stopped a LONG time ago, anything up in the 2500's is either a barton or a PALIMINO core, not t-bred you can tell its not a palimino, because amd hasnt released a 2500+ palimino core
