Hi there, can anyone help with some info on riding down stairs..I would kinda like to avoid a crash..if possable.thanx for your help

Try and keep your body behind the line vertical from your seat post... what kinda bike is it?

ok great thank you......its a 2006 haro X7..truvativ hollsfeller cranks..slowly buiding it up.

lower the seat to much lower than the optimum high-speed position... and move your body back so that your arse is over the rear wheel, then when you descend, you have a lower centre of gravity and also your weight is much less on the front wheel, which is what you don't want...

 

keep your knees bent and a relaxed grip on the handlebars... you might want to try this out on a grassy descent to get the feel of it before taking on concrete or steel steps

ok good idea, grass is alot softer than concret...should I feather the back brakes, or dont worrie about brakes???
