I am trying to sell a Pentium 4 system fast. What is the best way? I know windows and UV lights could make a 200 MHz P1 sell but I have had this on for two days now (reposted) and only one guy emailed me but i think he lost interest... how much should i ask for such a system? A better site than craig's list?

I do have the old sucky case with holes...

does it violate the rules if hes asking us how to sell it vs actually selling it through the forums

I dont think it does, since he is not actually trying to sell it to someone here.

I am not going to say anything, when I do a mod leaves a post to leave the moderating to the mods. :)

So what are you saying? btw: i don't want to sell it here - noobs that overpay me are better! HAHAHAHA!!

i doubt you could sell it for 400 or 500...the hardware in it is older, you must admit.

i built a similar system on newegg:

intel p4c 2.8ghz - $72

1gig gskill pc3200 - $65

seagate 250gb - $67

geforce 6200 - $40

sb audigy se 7.1 - $30

asus p4x mobo - $60

dvd burner - $32

case + psu - $60

and it came out to around $420 or so on newegg. of course, this system is built, however it is used/etc. i would say it could sell after a while for $350, and quickly for $300.

what's up with those...holes though?

Ya I think Ebay is your best bet. Start w/ low opening bid, provide more specs on system, state how old it is, don't expect more than $200.00 IMO. Maybe fix the hole? Good luck.

I see those holes and I think "What the heck did this guy do to this computer?"

That is not a vibe I want to get when buying a used computer. It's old hardware, it's used, and it's damaged. The only way to sell it fast is to drop the price significantly.
