EM3Bilko Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 I bought a DEM16217 a long time ago to hook up to a parallel port, but never got round to it. It's got the KS0070B controller. Anyone know of anything I can get so it can interface with USB or something? Any links to guides would be cool Give this Guide a look. Look at the wiring diagrams on the LCDSmartie site and that should tell you all you need to kknow for hooking it up. This screen works with LCDSmartie, LCDCentre 2.0, LCD Express, JaLCDs and LCD Hype. As for ports I know for a fact it works with LPT, But i have not yet tested it on serial or usb but I presume it would work on serial in 4bit mode and the same go's for usb but its gonna take some time to find the parts you need and to solder it all up so I would stick to LPT if you can't be dealing with all the guff with micro controllers.
