TheEclypse Posted April 12, 2003 Posted April 12, 2003 I think vc water blocks such as the danger den one are capable of being installed on both ATI and nVidia cards.
[Prime]Stryker Posted April 12, 2003 Posted April 12, 2003 Yes, they are. However, if you have a Radeon 9700 there are a few things you need to know before you try to watercool it.

sVperbeast2k5 Posted April 13, 2003 Posted April 13, 2003 If you want a good cheap radiator, search eBay for a heatercore from a car or truck... They're not always pretty, but they are excellent for cooling! The one I tested out recently was from a Ford F150 Heavy Duty... aside from being huge, i could have used it without a fan and still kept the system cool. As for a graphics card waterblock, I would say just get it now... especially if you want to overclock your card. I think later on you would find yourself buying one anyway since some cards get pretty hot.
justinal Posted April 13, 2003 Posted April 13, 2003 im going to buy on but i needed to know if i should wait till i upgrade first as for the hetercore/rad i need one that will mount in or on the case any certain one to search for on ebay the smaller the better what about using a motorcycle rad what about that they are a little smaller has anyone ever done that
bishop245 Posted April 13, 2003 Posted April 13, 2003 just go to your local parts store and get a heatercore for an 86 or 87 chevette
sVperbeast2k5 Posted April 13, 2003 Posted April 13, 2003 Well wheter you upgrade or not first is your own choice... Once you decide on which video card you will be interested in now and maybe one card into the future you can choose a compatable waterblock... A few of the blocks will work with multiple type of vid cards... just check the product layouts for compatiblity first.
