Hi guys,

I just killed my Abit NF7S rev 2 and am looking for a replacement. I don't really have the means to upgrade to something more powerful and up to date at the moment so if you guys have a spare socket A board lying around that you could part with, I'm willing to make an offer. As mentionned in the title I would preffer an Nforce2 board but I guess I can't be picky when it comes to older technology.

Thanks, Alex! :D

Well, not quite what I expected. I'm actually setting up windows on an old ECS K7S5A Pro that I had ripped out of a friend's computer a few years ago for an upgrade. Unfortunately my 2500 Barton doesn't work on the K7S5A so I had to dig up an XP1800 that hasn't seen service in a while either, darn annoying to work with for any length of time this setup. :angry2:

Many thanks for the heads up though Huddy! :P I do appreciate it.

Can't wait! Thanks again bigred.

Been having problems with the board ccokeman sent me (it was a working pull so I think something on my end screwed it up). I'll try upgrading the bios on that board as it will copy Windows installation files to the harddrive and then give an error loading os when it reboots to the drive. fixmbr and fixboot didn't do diddly squat so I'm still sharing the wife's computer.

Once I get one running the other will be for the wife and her board (MSI KM400) will go to the youngest son (11) that has an MSI KT133 socket A board.

For some reason my Corsair memory went south of the border too, but getting some from ccokeman.

If I can find the bill I'll try to rma the ram as I bought it from an authorized retailer around 3 years ago.

By the way, did I mention that you guys are terrific! :D

PS: sorry if this is going off topic.
