Bosco Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 Skip the 7900GS's and go for a 8800..... that would be my only suggestion
Guest christopher3393 Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 What case? On the 7900GS's: great card price /performance-wise and for SLI. But Nvidia isn't done with new releases yet. We will probably be seeing an 8800GS and perhaps an 8600GT or GTX w/ 256 bit memory interface in June. Watch for June 9 Computex announcement. kendellrt Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 I would look for an 8800 GTS or a new offering from ATI.
Comp Dude2 Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 if you get an 8800 and can live without the option of SLI in the future there is always the Gigabyte DS3/S3 boards which offer better overclocking and fewer bugs than the 680i board. The Gigabyte boards are great, but the 680i problems have all been fixed. There was a BIOS update and a PCB revision. eVGA even offered free RMA to any registered owner with a 680i, working condition or not. All the boards sold today are good to go, I don't regret mine at all.

jammin Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 I'd take a Corsair HX 520 over the Thermaltake.
