kirky_D Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 (edited) CPU is at 52 degrees load after 16 hours of orthos. With stock cooler. I just Cant believer how good these duo's really are, in both performance and overclockability. I'm going to leave orthos on for another few hours before going any further. Maybe soon I might get a better cooler and some arctic silver, really push this bad boy. EDIT: It's on a gigabyte ds4, rev3.3 by the way Edited April 24, 2007 by kirky_D

kingdingeling Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 come on man, be sure to crack those magical 3000! This is like the A64 days when getting those single and then dual cores over 3GHz was magical!
road-runner Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 You should be able to get around 3 ghz anyway.
kirky_D Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 Looks like i got slated a bit for that. It's just that it was my biggest overclock to date and it was so easy. Any way 3GHz coming up. Not sure if its stable yet though, It's been on orthos for just under an hour. The validation page wasn't working when I tried it, I'll get it soon though. sbrehm72255 Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 LOL..Don't ya just love the E4300............ For a nice easy 3.2, try dropping the multi to 8 and go for a 400 FSB (1600) ............. Mine will do it with just a small 0.05 bump in voltage to the core and 1.325 on the NB.
kirky_D Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 I'll look into it! hehe. What kind of temps are you experiencing with that oc?
