sdy284 Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 http://www.polarcloud.com/tomato anyone have any experience with this? it looks like it has some interesting features
Kash Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 Been using it on my Linksys WRT54GL for a while now. MUCH better than the stock firmware. Has lots more tweaking options and the logs are really great if you need them. There are other firmwares with a far more extensive feature set, but I personally like the sleek and slim Tomato firmware. I've used DD-WRT, and while it offers a lot, I had some stability issues with it. Tomato, on the other hand, has been rock-solid since day one. :thumbs-up:
sdy284 Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 ya it looks great, i'm definitely going to give it a try in the next few days
Kash Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 Hmm, looks like it's been updated...I'm gonna go check the changelog Edit: Nothing compelling enough to warrant an upgrade. Like the saying goes, if it ain't broke, don't fix it

Like the saying goes, if it ain't broke, don't fix it I was just looking at it thinking about trying it. LivingGhost Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 WRT54GL/R with DD-WRT or Tomato Firmware or OpenWRT. Personally, I use DD-WRT, but I've seen the other two suggested many-a-time. I've heard it's great, most people I've talked to said they used it over DD-WRT because of the graphs.
