mysterywalrus Posted April 6, 2003 Posted April 6, 2003 Does anybody else have a problem with windows xp and waiting at the welcome screen for a really long time? I've had this problem on several of my computers and I'm wondering if anybody knows why that is or how to get rid of it. Thanks. Trakfast11 Posted April 8, 2003 Posted April 8, 2003 what are your system specs?
LobbDogg Posted May 15, 2003 Posted May 15, 2003 Do you have any mapped networked drives or do you log into a domain when booting up? If so this can cause your machine to take a long time to boot up windows. I found with XP in a networked environment that it can take a while to boot up if it needs to search the network for authentication or find a remote folder or whatever
