GmAz Posted April 8, 2007 Posted April 8, 2007 (edited) Ok, I just got some new hardware. Motherboard: ASUS P5N-E SLI http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16813131142 CPU: Intel Core2Duo E6300 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16819115005 RAM: OCZ 2gb 667mhz http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16820227078 Video Card: BFG NVidia 7590GT OC http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814143071 (<---Pretty sure that is the right card...I bought it retail.) Two questions. Is the RAM I got going to hold me back. I plan on overclocking eventually, but I have been out of the OC'ing loop for so long, I have no idea where to begin, espically on Intel hardware. 2nd (see picture), the ram I have is labeled as 4-4-4-12, but I get the results below from CPU-Z. Should I change this myself or leave it as is? It is setup in Dual Channel mode also. Lastly, should I see a decent overclock from this? I have stock cooling for now because I didn't feel like spending the money to buy new cooling yet. kendellrt Posted April 8, 2007 Posted April 8, 2007 You should be able to overclock that setup without problems. You will have to use a hefty RAM divider, however. I'm not sure about the timings, but I would personally change them myself; they are rated at tighter latency after all.
