CoolMaster Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 Just real quick question, u know the vantec tornado's (the loud as crap ones) well I have an 80mm one, and pluggin it in to a normal molex WAY to loud. so i plugged it into my Antec truepower 550watt's "Fan ONLY" connectors, now this did slow the speed of it some (but it was still more than my old fan) i think it gives 5 or 7 volts instead of 12. Question: is this ok for my computer, or will it damage the fan/andor the PSU and I plugged the RPM reader into the mobo fan thx
Propane Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 I dont see how it would cause an issue... if it does actually just drop the voltage, that is the same function as a reobus.

hardnrg Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 in the manual it says don't plug in "more than three fans", but it doesn't give any absolute figures on current... i'd say a tornado is about the same power as three medium performance 120mm fans so you should be alright
