Arkadiy Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 Well, my rig is on my sig but I guess this is a pretty general thing: What are the danger zones you have for CPU / Mobo? Idle I can get my CPU at 37C and MB at 37C While playing a game by CPU can get as hot as 49C and my MB doesn't usually get over 40C. Is that to high for the CPU? fire_storm Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 I assume your talking about the E6600 those temps do seem a little warm but nothing to be alarmed about. But your temps also depend on your system like what type of heatsink you are using and did you use any thermal paste or thermal pad on the bottom of it? Temps can also vary depending your case and how much air the fans blow and how there arranged in the case. It should also be noted that some times motherboards do not always tell accurate readings and the way to get an accurate temp would be to buy a temp probe unless you already did and currently using it to get your temps. Arkadiy Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 I'm using ASUSProbe and I am using stock heatsink and fan. I think it might be case + my room
Hyper Threaded Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 While not brilliant, it is safe to run those temperatures. Not bad for the retail heatsink, actually.
