ByRo Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 Heyo. I just purchased an AMD X2 5200+ 2.6GHz 1mb L2. and a Asus M2R32-MVP mobo (Crossfire motherboard) Installed all my stuff, then OC'ed my cpu to 2.8GHz everythign was all good and dandy till I checked CPU-z And it said my ram was in single channel. So i took out the handy motherboard manual and sure enough for Dual Channel on this board you gotta put them in slot 1 and 2 not 1 and 3 for Dual channel. Anyways when I put the ram into dual channel mode my CPU cant OC anymore anything past sotck isnt stable. Any ideas?

Bosco Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 I would start looking at the memory first...... 667 seems a little low for overclocking.......
ByRo Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 (edited) Would there be any reason why Putting them in dual channel cause all this problem. Also should I take the ram settings off auto and boost the HTT to 216 on them as well? cuz i had it on FSB; 216 and ram auto. cpu stock is 13X200 had it @ 13 X 216 for 2.8 Edited March 14, 2007 by ByRo
