pretty impressive free-fall and shock protection, if it works :D

I appoint you to test it out - drop your notebook a few times and get back to us. But 160GB in a laptop drive is pretty impressive as well. Now if they can migrate their encrypted drive technology to the 7200 series then I'd be interested in upgrading.

My Sony laptops drive went out and I sent it back it was under warranty and it started making noise a few weeks ago and died last week so I took it apart and it had a Hitachi 40gb 4200rpm refurbished drive in it. I would have thought Sony would do better than that. Anyway my dad had a 60gb 5400rpm Seagate brand new in the box that he had bought for that Toshiba laptop that got wet that I took apart awhile back and got the 2.6C Northwood out of so I put the drive in it and restored. It works great so far. I was wondering why it was only 5400rpm I guess thats all they had until now.
